The TRUE team

Founder & CEO

After years working in London, I moved to Africa, driving from north to south and embedding myself into conservation projects along the way. As well as meeting hundreds of inspiring people, it became clear that the luxury travel industry needed a fresh approach. What I love about our team is their genuine passion for travel. Everyone, no matter what position, spends six weeks a year visiting our destinations so they have fresh knowledge about our camps.

Managing Director

I swapped a job in finance for that of a safari guide and haven’t looked back. From lodge construction to concession management, I’ve worked in many roles within the travel industry. Now, helping others plan fantastic holiday experiences brings me enormous satisfaction. Holidays are important to all of us, but most importantly they should be fun; from planning stages, through the trip and long after into the future. I really enjoy being a part of that process.

Director of Operations

My parents have always been travel mad and as such, I was fortunate enough to travel extensively with my family. I started from the bottom, with my first taste of the industry being an internship at True Travel — it was here that my passion was set alight. Fast forward, and having experienced some epic adventures along the way, I handle our client’s travel in the run-up, during, and after their holiday, so that they can enjoy it to the max!

Head of Asia and Australasia

As a young girl, I longed for independence and to explore places the rest of my family hadn’t been. I set off on my first adventure to a Zimbabwean island where I helped manage the lodge. I got such pleasure from my evenings with guests at the camp I pursued a job in the UK in travel. Personally I think Asia has so much to give, from private boat trips to cooking courses — which is why I keep going back.

Senior Africa Travel Consultant

Ever since my first holiday to South Africa at 8 years old, my heart was stolen by Africa and its spectacular beauty and wildlife. Growing up, this urge to travel grew, and after spending a year living in France, Spain, and Argentina, I have now developed a huge passion for other cultures and experiences. I believe that everyone should have the chance to create unforgettable memories on holiday, and I love helping our clients design their next adventure.

Africa Travel Consultant

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I grew up on a safari lodge and have been lucky enough to spend the majority of my life in the bush. From running a ski chalet in the Alps to spending summers in Africa managing safari lodges; establishing a Zimbabwean NGO in sustainable development to now working in the travel industry, there really is nothing that excites me more than knowing someone is going away to experience a place I think they will love.

Europe Travel Consultant

I spent much of my childhood on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way: swimming with dolphins or fishing for mackerel. It remains my favourite corner of the world, but it instilled a love of nature, doing as the locals do, and getting off the increasingly beaten track. Europeans forget how lucky we are to have so many cultures on our doorsteps, but my role reminds me of this all too regularly and I love to help people discover this incredible continent.

Asia Travel Consultant

I grew up in America and one of my first travel memories is a two-week road trip through the deep southern states. Another early adventure to Iceland was so spectacular that I was hooked on travel for life. Since then I’ve lived in Rome, New York, Jakarta, and recently, in Shanghai for a few years, learning about the incredible cultures of ancient and modern China. My wish is that more people have the chance to experience these wonderful places, and I’m passionate about helping everyone I can to hit the road and start exploring.

Marketing Manager

After a degree in architecture, I found myself driving 1,700 miles to live in the tiny seaside towns of Calabria – the ‘toe’ of Italy’s boot. Filming, photography, writing and selling tailor-made holidays to the region followed, as well as learning Italian and obviously sampling all of the best food. From there, I’ve continued to work in marketing and travel, and have great plans to explore much more of the world armed with my video camera!

Operations Assistant

I spent three months in Uganda before travelling through Asia. To pick a favourite country would be impossible, but trekking the Annapurnas in Nepal and scuba diving with thresher sharks in The Philippines are definitely highlights. Back home, I had the desire not only to explore more of the world, but to also encourage others to do the same. I enjoy sending clients on incredible holidays every day with so many fantastic experiences tailored specifically to them.

Vice President of VIP

I was raised in a small town in the USA and had a very strong desire from an early age to spread my wings. It began with trips across the states as a child, and once I moved to New York City to begin a career in real estate, the real adventures began! From the long glistening slopes of Gstaad, to cruising a Gulet throughout Turkey, to a beautiful yacht in the stunning waters of the Mediterranean, arriving at Portofino for sunset cocktails at Splendido, or a gondola ride in magical Venice, travel is my ultimate happy place.
