Hand-crafted Travel to Iceland

For a small country, Iceland boasts more excursions than most. Home to Europe’s largest National Park, it displays an abundance of rivers, glaciers, ice caves, snow-capped mountains and diverse wildlife. Seasonal nature lovers and outdoorsy types descend to Iceland on privately guided tours to take in the landscape from snowmobile, Icelandic horse or super jeep. Reach the most inaccessible peaks and heli-ski summit to sea, catch a boat for whale watching, and scale glaciers by snowmobile – spotting the Northern Lights on our Iceland luxury tours if you’re lucky.

There is much to enjoy in Iceland throughout the year, depending on whether you are looking to explore the magnificent scenery or view the Northern Lights.

Iceland Hotspots

Embrace the magic of Iceland’s geological wonders. Reykjavik, the capital, fuses modernity with Viking heritage. The Golden Circle reveals geysers, waterfalls, and Thingvellir National Park. Explore the ethereal landscapes of Jökulsárlón’s glacial lagoon. Relax in the Blue Lagoon’s geothermal waters.

Reykjavik And The Golden Circle

The Icelandic capital feels more like a large fishing town rather than a bustling city, even though 60% of the country live here. The city is comfortably walkable and worth exploring if only to mix with the charming locals in our suggested local favourites. Reykjavik also acts as the perfect platform from where you can see the countries highlights, not least the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon.

Three main attractions form the dazzling Golden Circle: Thingvellir national park, Gullfoss waterfall and the geothermally active valley of Haukadalur, which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur. Covering about 300 km in the South of Iceland, this dazzling route loops from Reykjavik into central Iceland and back and is an integral element of any Iceland tour.
