CITIES
For a small country, France boasts an endless amount of city break destinations. Head to Paris for exclusive private access to the Louvre after hours (the most visited museum in the world), joining your private guide to soak in the artwork without another soul in sight. South of the city of love you can visit Bordeaux for wine, Lyon for food, Toulouse for rugby or Cannes for its coastline. Pocket-sized city breaks offer all the joys of exploration without the stress of a long list of things to see and do.Â
FOOD, WINE & CHAMPAGNE
France is the gastronomic capital of Europe. If done right, you may question just how healthy their lifestyle is. Fuelled by coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon, the French feast on gourmet food that is largely fiddle and fancy-free until desert. Indulge in hearty casseroles, steak frites, oysters, snails, and frogs legs, and sip on a glass of champagne. Any time spent here must be accompanied by a bounty of croissants and at least six new flavours of macarons.
THE SOUTH
Provence is famous for the varied landscapes of olive trees, sunflowers, lavender and vineyards. Dotted amongst them, quaint villages make for easy ambling and basking in the sun. Not far from here lies the Cote D’Azur, which in turn is a short ferry from the beautiful island of Corsica. The vibrant French Riviera is famous for the glamourous beach resorts, traditional outdoor markets and Roman remains. For fine-dining, spoil yourself at the best restaurant in the world, Mirazur; sit front row and overlook the azure sea.
MOUNTAINS
The French Alps are the ideal seasonal playground. Slide into your skis in the winter and hurtle down the mountains between your choice of resort, each boasting their own exclusive selling points. The mountain range ticks all the boxes, with resorts equipped for beginners, après fun and off-piste. Even better, when snow meets sunshine and visitors swap moon boots for hiking boots, the mountains offer the most beautiful hiking and orienteering, whether casual or strenuous. With hotels doused in sunshine after another season of snowfall, put your feet up and take in the beauty of glistening lakes and grassy meadows.

I just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed our holiday in France. A major contribution to the trip being so successful (in addition to team USA winning the world cup!) was True Luxury Travel’s expert guidance and responsiveness. You exceeded our high expectations all round.
