Culture & Climate

If you don’t know where to start your holiday in Morocco speak to our experienced team for inspiration. A short flight from Europe, but a world away in culture and heritage, Morocco is a cauldron of colours and spices, where African and Arabic cultures collide. Morocco boasts such a variety of climates that it is possible to ski in the Atlas Mountains one morning and enjoy sundowners that evening in the heat of the coast.

Scenery

Morocco’s geography is made up of rugged mountains and large desert expanses positioned on the north-west tip of the African continent. It is dominated by a long Atlantic Ocean coastline to the west, the Mediterranean to the north and split down the centre by the majesty of the Atlas Mountains.

Activities

So much can be included in a luxury holiday in Morocco. Whether it is shopping with a personal guide in the medieval medinas of Marrakech or Fez, hiking into the remote Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains for a picnic lunch with a view like no other, or exploring the Atlantic coastline by horse or kite-surf. A bespoke luxury holiday to Morocco offers our guests something for everyone.

Diversity

Its relative proximity to Europe has seen Morocco explode as a holiday destination in the last few years, and our guests enjoy both short sunshine escapes as well as longer, more complex luxury itineraries. Marrakech, Essaouira, Fez and other major cities offer a huge variety of places to stay including the restoration of Riads – a house built around a garden courtyard with windows overlooking the interior in order to preserve cool air on the hottest days.

Alison

The Palais de L’O was extremely comfortable with absolutely charming and very helpful staff. We had a lovely week, which ticked all the boxes, thank you so much for all your hard work. Also when I got home this afternoon, resting on top of the inevitable pile of bills was a parcel containing a lovely Garden Mint candle, thank you so much, what a lovely and much appreciated surprise.
