Day 1-4

MARRAKESH, Morocco

La Sultana Marrakech
  • Escape the frenzy of the Medina and enter an oasis of calm after a day exploring the city
  • Order a ‘Yves Saint Laurent in Majorelle’ cocktail at sunset on the rooftop terrace

Soak up the sights and smells of the Medina before retreating back to this sophisticated and beautifully designed riad situated in the very heart of old Marrakech.

As soon as you enter the front door of La Sultana, you can leave behind the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city. This boutique hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city and just a stone’s throw from the famous Djemma el-Fna Square. The hotel itself is comprised of five riads, each of which have been beautifully designed with a quirky blend of traditional and modern styles. There are 28 gorgeous rooms and suites that are spread out across the hotel and each one has been carefully styled with its own individual charm. After a day exploring the delights of the Medina, take a refreshing dip in the courtyard swimming pool before trying their delicious ‘Moroccan Mint Tea’. Your only decision following this is to choose where to dine that evening: will it be on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Saadian Tombs or a lantern-lit romantic meal in the courtyard?

Day 4-6

ATLAS MOUNTAINS, Morocco

Kasbah Tamadot
  • Stay in an authentically styled boutique property less than an hour away from Marrakech
  • The perfect place to unwind for a couple of nights, enjoy some trekking and take in the surrounding scenery and fresh mountain air

The Atlas Mountains is the perfect place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Soak up the mountainous views, unwind in the beautiful landscaped gardens and enjoy walking through the hills that contrast so vividly with the souks of Marrakech.

After just an hour’s drive from Marrakech, you will arrive at Kasbah Tamadot. This delightful boutique retreat is set in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains with stunning views towards Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, and a steep lush river valley below. The Kasbah is a walled retreat filled with peaceful courtyards and landscaped gardens. Spend your days relaxing in the pool or treating yourself to a traditional hammam treatment. Alternatively, discover the breathtaking surrounding region with one of the guided treks available or try a cooking class with a Berber chef to really master Moroccan cuisine. A couple of nights at Kasbah Tamadot will have you feeling pampered and refreshed before continuing your journey north.

Day 6-9

OUALIDIA, Morocco

La Sultana Oualidia
  • Head to the coast for a relaxing finale to your Moroccan adventure at this dreamy ocean oasis
  • Enjoy the freshest of seafood, private beach picnics and Moroccan white wine by the lagoon

Soothe the soul at this idyllic coastal retreat where you can truly indulge. Enjoy massages in the spa using locally produced Argan oils and  tryfresh oysters while watching the sunset over the lagoon.

The isolation of this hotel and its location really make it worth visiting. Oualidia is a small village on the Atlantic coast, facing a salt water lagoon and beach where ocean and coast merge. The beauty of the natural landscape comes with an ideal climate offering cool winters and fresh air in the summer. The hotel itself is built of local stone and has 11 rooms; it specialises in quiet intimacy with drinks round the fireplace in your room, a hot tub for two on your terrace, or romantic picnics on a private beach. One of the highlights has got to be the central, infinity edged swimming pool, however you can also retreat to your private sea water Jacuzzi in your room if preferred – the perfect end to a traditional Argan oil massage in our opinion!

Alison

The Palais de L’O was extremely comfortable with absolutely charming and very helpful staff. We had a lovely week, which ticked all the boxes, thank you so much for all your hard work. Also when I got home this afternoon, resting on top of the inevitable pile of bills was a parcel containing a lovely Garden Mint candle, thank you so much, what a lovely and much appreciated surprise
