Day 1 - 3: Reykjavik, Iceland

  • Bathe in Secret Lagoon, the Blue Lagoon’s natural and less populated rival
  • Watch as a mighty geyser explodes

A quaint capital that packs an enormous punch; immerse yourself with the locals to experience true Icelandic living and witness their love of partying.

Begin in Reykjavík with two nights at Konsulat Hotel, the perfect base to return after a day’s adventure. Whilst here, use the city as a platform to explore. Away from the crowds, let your private guide lead you around the Golden Circle and discover hidden corners not featured on the map. For an adrenaline-filled experience, we can arrange for you to helicopter to the roof of a volcano before travelling down for a tour inside the crater. Venture out to sea for the best chance of spotting the majestic whales.

Day 3 - 5: South Coast, Iceland

  • Drive in a super jeep along a black sand beach at Sólheimasandur
  • Out at sea, watch puffins dive for their lunch from a private boat

The South Coast is famous for its spectacular landscapes, complete with national parks, black sand beaches, glaciers and lagoons.

Continue to the South Coast, where you’ll spend two nights at Skalakot Manor. Historically used as a horse breeding farm, this is the perfect place to saddle up and experience the Icelandic pony – beginner or expert. Set in the midst of the south’s expansive wilderness, spend a day superjeeping down the black sand beaches of the coastline or in the valleys of Thórsmörk National Park. On a clear afternoon, catch the ferry to the Westman Islands and watch the puffins dive for their lunch from your private rib.

Day 5 - 7: Jokulsarlon Lagoon, Iceland

  • Spot endemic species from a glacier lagoon
  • Swim with locals in an outdoor Icelandic swimming pool

A stark contrast to the greenery of the National Parks and water features of the Golden Circle, this glacial white landscape is wonderfully varied from much of the rest of the country.

From here, continue on to FossHotel Glacier Lagoon, where you’ll spend two nights. Situated between two of the country’s most impressive natural attractions, Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, this perched hotel offers the ultimate hiker’s paradise. Spend a morning getting close to Europe’s largest glacier from the safety of a zodiac boat. Whilst here, look out for the animals brave enough to call this space home and the icebergs that bob around you. Spend the next day on an ice hike across the glacier with an expert guide showing you the ropes.
