I’ve been part of True Travel since the early days, and it’s been incredible watching us grow into a globally recognised travel company. My role now is to act as a single, unwavering point of contact for discerning private clients, offering expert guidance and shaping itineraries that reflect their individual preferences. My background in operations, along with extensive firsthand travel experience, helps me anticipate what makes a trip truly special – from uncovering hidden-gem destinations to collaborating with our designers on the finest local touches. Alongside this, I also manage our advisor relationships on the B2B side of the business, ensuring partners benefit from my in-depth destination knowledge and keen attention to detail in service delivery. Ultimately, my goal is to deliver seamless, memorable journeys that inspire and enrich, while supporting every traveller at each stage of their adventure.
One of my favourite things about working in the travel industry is the constant opportunity to explore. Being able to travel the world, meet new people, learn about different cultures and see incredible places never gets old. Every trip brings something new, whether it’s a fresh perspective, an unexpected encounter or a deeper appreciation for a destination. What makes it even more rewarding is being able to share those experiences – not just with friends and family, but with our clients too. I love using what I’ve learned on the road to help shape meaningful journeys for others.
My ideal holiday has a bit of everything. I love starting in a place with rich culture and history, where I can explore local traditions, visit fascinating sites, and get a feel for the rhythm of daily life. I also like time to switch off completely, whether that’s relaxing by the sea or staying somewhere peaceful in the countryside; being out in nature is really important to me. Add in amazing local food, from lively markets to tucked-away restaurants, and ideally a chance to learn to cook a regional dish, and that’s the kind of trip I’d happily take again and again. I’m never going to say no to something with a wildlife aspect either.
The first thing for any new city should be a half day walking tour at the first opportunity. Taking a couple of hours to understand the context of where you are, it’s history and culture, as well as a walking orientation with a local who will be able to give you all their best do’s/don’t’s is an invaluable time saver to get the most out of any new place. It saves you falling into the tourist traps and wasting precious time!
There are so many – and I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been truly spoilt by our wonderful partners, who’ve helped create the most spectacular memories around the world. However, for their formative impact, it has to be our family holidays in the South of France as a child. Days were filled with beach picnics featuring ham and cheese (and sand) sandwiches, fiercely competitive beach olympics, and chasing the beignet vendor down the beach – only for someone to drop theirs moments later. There were swimming contests, sunshine naps, and the kind of carefree fun that still makes me smile every time I think about it.
