Omaanda, which means “rhinoceros” in Oshiwambo, is a luxurious five-star lodge located within the Windhoek region. It is a remarkable private animal conservation reserve spanning 9,000 hectares of beautiful countryside. Conveniently situated just a 30-minute drive from Windhoek Hosea Kutako Airport, the lodge offers breathtaking views of the expansive savannah and provides ten comfortable round thatched huts, paying homage to the traditional Ovambo architecture.

Two of these huts boast two bedrooms, making them perfect for families or groups of friends travelling together. Omaanda also offers a restaurant, a cosy bar overlooking a heated infinity pool, a spa with two treatment rooms, and a boma for a completely unforgettable experience. For safety reasons, the lodge welcomes children from 6 years onwards. The Pitchers

We had the most amazing time! John Barclay and his team were very special and the mobile safari exclusive and superb. Moremi was very quiet with few other tourists – no more than a dozen other vehicles seen in four days. Macatoo was also excellent with good riding and game. We were so grateful for the help that you offered when our BA flights went wrong. Many thanks again for the superb service and recommendations which made for a great holiday.
