Relax after your long flight at the intimate boutique Olive Exclusive Hotel in Windhoek, a sanctuary in the Namibian capital. Each suite is decorated uniquely to showcase the different regions found in Namibia and have their own private terraces, complete with a cooling plunge pool and spectacular views. Spend the evening at the Olive restaurant on the outdoor terrace, watching the sun set over the surrounding mountains, before enjoying their seasonal menu and signature dishes. Head to the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge the next day feeling rejuvenated and ready for your Namibian honeymoon.
Explore the salt pans and towering sand dunes of the Sossusvlei area of the vast Namib Desert.
Stay three nights at the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge on the outskirts of the vast Namib Naukluft Park. This is a spectacular base from which to explore the dramatic Namib desert, including its towering red sand dunes, the eerie scorched trees of Vlei, Sesriem Canyon and the Elim Dune Belt. Head out with a private guide to discover this remarkable landscape either on a drive, on foot or even from the sky, flying over the desert by helicopter or hot air balloon. Enjoy rustic bush dining in the Sossusvlei by candlelight, or a sundowner nature drive to watch the dramatic Namibian sun set over the dunes and the wandering oryxes. Spend your evenings under a blanket of stars on the lodge’s al fresco terrace surrounded by desert.
Spend three nights surrounded by the unique and haunting landscape of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast.
Stay in very unique accommodation, at the only permanent lodge found in the Skeleton Coast National Park. Found between the rising dunes, each of Shipwreck Lodge’s chalets are created in the shape of a shipwreck with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. Being in the heart of the Skeleton Coast, guests can enjoy quad biking across the park’s dunes, visiting haunting shipwrecks, the remains of an old Ventura bomber and the abandoned diamond mines. Go see the seal colony in Mowe Bay or spot a brown hyena or desert-adapted elephant at the Clay Castles. Guests can also catch their dinner whilst out fishing on the Namibian Coast before enjoying a beach lunch surrounded by the cooling sea breeze.
Roam the desert plains of the Kaokaland from one of the most secluded and unique camps in Namibia.
Kaokoland is known to be the most unique destination in Namibia, surrounded by towering mountains and rolling sand dunes, and home to desert-adapted wildlife and the nomadic Himba settlements. Stay three nights at the ‘off the grid’ Hoanib Valley Camp to experience it for yourself. Embark on game drives across the landscape to spot desert-adapted elephants, lions and the giraffe, and discover more about the only Africa-wide giraffe conservation organisation. Track rhinos with an experienced guide or enjoy a guided nature walk to spot the smaller flora and fauna of Kaokoland like Monteiro’s hornbill. Meet the local Himba tribes to learn about their unique culture and how they have adapted to these harsh surroundings.
Enjoy one last safari adventure exploring the reserve around Little Ongava, before heading back to Windhoek.
For incredible sightings of black and white rhino, stay at one of the three private bungalows available at the intimate Little Ongava in the Ongava Private Game Reserve. Head out on foot with an armed tracker and guide to track these endangered animals through the reserve. Spot lions, impala, elephant and more whilst out on a day game drive through the bordering Etosha National Park, or at night to spot the more elusive nocturnal creatures. The location of Little Ongava on a high hill provides a fantastic location to watch the game as they approach the watering hole found below the lodge, with a sundowner in hand.
Head back to the capital Windhoek from Little Ongava for a comfortable overnight stay before your international flight.
Arrive back in Windhoek after your safari adventures in Ongava Private Game Reserve and the Etosha National Park. Enjoy an overnight stay back at the Olive Exclusive in the Klein Windhoek suburb. Unwind in your private plunge pool with a sundowner recounting your honeymoon adventures in Namibia before enjoying one last meal. The Olive Exclusive’s proximity to the airport makes your transfer ever the more comfortable before your flight home.
