This is a spectacular base from which to explore the dramatic Namib desert, including its towering red sand dunes, the eerie scorched trees of Vlei, Sesriem Canyon and the Elim Dune Belt. Head out with a private guide to discover this remarkable landscape either on a drive, on foot or even from the sky, flying over the desert by helicopter or hot air balloon. Enjoy rustic bush dining in the Sossusvlei by candlelight, or a sundowner nature drive to watch the dramatic Namibian sun set over the dunes and the wandering oryxes. Spend your evenings under a blanket of stars on the lodge’s al fresco terrace surrounded by desert.

Day 5-8

Spot lions, impala, elephant and more whilst out on a day game drive through the bordering Etosha National Park, or at night to spot the more elusive nocturnal creatures. The Olive Exclusive’s proximity to the airport makes your transfer ever the more comfortable before your flight home.

The journey to Namibia and Serra Cafema was the best trip I’ve ever done. I really loved the remote camp, the way we travelled there (flying over the endless dunes and amazing coastline in a private plane) and the infinite hospitality, knowledge and passion of the whole team. We enjoyed a lot of activities: we visited the Himba people, which was the experience of a lifetime, took a quad bike tour and boat tour. For my birthday, they organised a private dinner at a beautiful, remote location.
