Day 1-3
CENTRAL HIGHLANDS, Namibia
The Okonjima Nature Reserve is the best place to spot big cats as well as learn about the camp’s conservation efforts.
Begin in the Central Highlands with two nights at Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp, an elegant camp situated within 20,000 hectares of wilderness in Okonjima Nature Reserve. Home to the AfriCat Foundation, here you can learn about the local farmers’ efforts to conserve the native leopards, before heading out into the wilderness radio tracking these elusive animals by foot or vehicle. Spend the following day either game viewing, on a bushman trail or spotting bird species with expert guides.
Day 3-6
ONGAVA, Namibia
Whilst staying within Ongava’s private reserve, escape the crowds of Etosha with wildlife sightings from the comfort of your lodge.
Head to the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve, located on the southern border of Etosha National Park, where you’ll spend three nights at Ongava Lodge. Perched on a hillside overlooking the plains and a watering hole, marvel at the abundance of thirsty lions and elephants drinking below. Exclusive to Ongava, join guides on foot to track black and white rhinos or enjoy intimate wildlife viewings from game hides. Head out into Etosha National Park for game drives across the massive saltpan and the chance to spot the park’s high-density of big game.
Day 6-9
DAMARALAND, Namibia
Whilst immersed in the dramatic scenery of Damaraland, track desert-adapted elephants and visit interesting archaeological sites.
Drive to the heart of southern Damaraland, where you’ll spend three nights at the luxury tented Mowani Mountain Camp. Set within gigantic ochre boulders, revel in spectacular scenery over the desert from your luxury tent or rock swimming pool. Join a specialist guide tracking incredible desert-adapted wildlife, head out into the desert with guides from local tribes, and join game drives to track mountain zebra, kudu, springbok, klipspringer and the leopard if you’re fortunate enough! The camp can arrange visits to archaeological sites of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein, home to the Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain and Bushmen Art from the oldest tribe in Namibia.
Day 9-11
SWAKOPMUND, Namibia
Both a coastal city and the adventure capital of Namibia, enjoy the adrenaline-fuelled activities Swakopmund has to offer.
Your next stop is the country’s adventure capital, the coastal town of Swakopmund, where you’ll spend two nights at Cornerstone Guesthouse. A gateway to the Skeleton Coast, we can arrange for you to take a scenic flight over this perilous coastline or explore the red dunes by quad bike. Whilst staying in this exclusive desert ecosystem, spend a morning kayaking alongside seals and dolphins in the tranquil lagoon that encompasses Pelican Point. On your journey there, look out for flamingos and pelicans at Walvis Bay wetlands.
Day 11-14
 SOSSUSVLEI, Namibia
With easy access to Namib-Naukluft National Park, enjoy an off the beaten track experience.
Travel south within the Namib desert to Sossusvlei, where you’ll spend three nights in the privately-owned Hoodia Desert Lodge. Within this exclusively deserted setting, wallow in the majestic scenery of towering mountains over a sundowner from your private verandah. Similarly, as a gateway to the famous dunes, explore this dramatic burnt-red scenery on a morning hike before cooling off in the pool. Before dawn, upgrade to a hot air balloon trip where you’ll ascend over the desert to watch as the astonishing landscape changes colour during sunrise.
Day 14-15
WINDHOEK, Namibia
The perfect place to unwind after your an eventful journey around Namibia, unwind in this leafy suburb or explore the local sites and attractions.
End your trip in the country’s capital with a comfortable night’s stay at The Olive Exclusive. This gives you the chance to rest and recuperate before returning home. For those wishing to make the most of their final hours before flying home, you’re a quick stroll from the National Museum of Namibia, National Art Gallery, Old Breweries Craft Market and shops of Post St Mall.
Atilla
The journey to Namibia and Serra Cafema was the best trip I’ve ever done. I really loved the remote camp, the way we travelled there (flying over the endless dunes and amazing coastline in a private plane) and the infinite hospitality, knowledge and passion of the whole team. We enjoyed a lot of activities: we visited the Himba people, which was the experience of a lifetime, took a quad bike tour and boat tour. For my birthday, they organised a private dinner at a beautiful, remote location.
