Why we love it
Tangala is a large and stylish family house fabulously located on the banks of the Zambezi River. It is ideal for families or groups looking for exclusivity and complete privacy while visiting the Victoria Falls.
Tangala comfortably sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in 3 double en-suite rooms and one twin room. With a minimum stay of three nights, Tangala can either fit in with a safari holiday as the Victoria Falls destination or it could be a one week holiday destination in its own right â considering all the wildlife and water and adventure activities that the Falls have to offer.
Tangala is located 15km upstream of the Victoria Falls, 1km upstream of Tongabezi Lodge. On private land, west facing
towards the sunset, with stunning panoramic views across a large sweeping bend in the Zambezi, and overlooking the Victoria Falls National Park on the opposite bank.
Guests have their own private guide and host, chef, waiter, housekeeper, pool and grounds attendant, as well as private use of vehicles and boats. On this basis all meals and bar, as well as river activities from the house and trips to the Falls, shops, curio markets, museums and game park are all included in the rate. The team at True Travel had a simple brief: to send us on the world’s best family safari. As soon as our boat headed down the Zambezi, it all kicked off; we passed a herd of hippos, a lazy crocodile and a giraffe drinking nonchalantly on the riverbank. A magical experience from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble and if we had any issue that needed resolving, there was always someone on hand to do this. Before and after, they were off the charts – simply an awesome team.
