Mont Rochelle

Mont Rochelle is a stunning 22-bedroom hotel and vineyard just under an hours drive from Cape Town in the stunning vineyard town of Franschhoek in South Africa. There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views. The six Merlot Rooms are larger than the Shiraz Rooms and also boast king-size beds with valley views. The six Cabernet Rooms include a private terrace overlooking the valley. There are also four even more spacious Pinotage Suites which each feature a separate lounge. Finally, guests staying in the two Cap Classique Suites will enjoy a lounge, a private terrace and their own plunge pool.

The grounds at Mont Rochelle cover 39 hectares (about 100 acres) and you are welcome to go exploring. A favourite activity for many of the guests is picnicking on the estate; the kitchen can arrange a well-stocked picnic basket with a chilled bottle of wine (or two!). There are two restaurants, a cosy bar,,a spa, a gym and a heated outdoor pool. That’s not forgetting a 37 hectare vineyard and wine cellar of course! The property has two restaurants including the Country Kitchen which joins up to the wine cellar, it’s an ideal place for a light lunch in the sunshine or a relaxed dinner. The main restaurant, Miko, is the setting for some fantastic gourmet meals including for those special occasions. Start the evening off with a refreshing cocktail from the bar and find a comfy space on the terrace to watch the sun set. Mont Rochelle has two dedicated spa treatment rooms as well as a Hammam. They use the eco-friendly Africology Authentic range of products which are made from 100% essential oils and natural plant extracts.
