Day 1-4

The Winelands

  • Relax by the beautiful infinity pool and enjoy the spectacular view across the surrounding vineyards and to the adjacent mountains.
  • Enjoy a selection of outstanding restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world, all found within a mile of your hotel.

South Africa’s Winelands are one of the most spectacular areas of the country and the perfect place to spend a few days at the start of your trip. Explore wineries, enjoy amazing cuisine, relax in the sunshine and enjoy a range of spa treatments. What better way to start a holiday!

Arriving in to Cape Town airport you will be met and assisted to the vehicle for the short road transfer to The Winelands, enjoying the views of surrounding vineyards and jagged mountains as you drive. Your stay will be at La Residence, a spectacular property on the outskirts of historic Franschhoek and a wonderfully peaceful place to start your holiday. With incredibly spacious, individual designed suites, outstanding food, sprawling gardens, a superb spa and wonderfully appointed swimming pool it is a wonderfully indulgent place to spend a few days. A private winelands day tour will be arranged for you and we can pre-book any restaurants in Franschhoek village that you would like to dine in.

Day 4-8

Cape Town

  • Visit some of Cape Town’s most iconic sights including Table Mountain, Robben Island, The Cape Peninsula and beautiful Constantia.
  • Explore the renowned ZEITZ MOCAA – a contemporary African art museum which is found just beneath your hotel and is a real hidden gem.

Spend a few days exploring the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, nestled between the bulk of Table Mountain and the swirling waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

From Franschhoek a short transfer takes you back to Cape Town where you will be staying at The Silo, a wonderful property in the heart of the V&A Waterfront and the sister property to where you were staying in Franschhoek. From its lofty perch the hotel offers amazing views out to sea, across the city and back to Table Mountain and the rooftop terrace with bar and swimming pool is one of the chicest spots in the city to hang out. With easy access to all of the attractions of the city, including some amazing restaurants and bars, you are ideally located to make the most out of your time in the Mother City which is one of the undoubted highlights of any trip to South Africa.

Day 8-10

Kalahari Desert

  • Go on private game drives, guided bush walks and even horseback safaris through the wilds of the Kalahari Desert with your own private guide.
  • Spot all manner of wildlife from rhino and black-maned Kalahari lion to a colony of meerkats that live close to the lodge.

In the northern reaches of South Africa the vast Kalahari Desert supports a staggering variety of wildlife and is home to some wonderful lodges from which to explore this stark, beautiful part of the country.

You will be flying north from Cape Town airport deep in to the beautiful land of orange sands and rolling dunes that is the Kalahari Desert. Tswalu The Motse will be your home for 3 nights where you can relax, enjoy the outstanding cuisine, delightful rooms and discreet service that make this such a popular property. Your own private guide will be on hand to look after you throughout your trip, taking you on game drives, guided walks, trips to see meerkats, horseback safaris and many more besides. The desert is renowned for being home to the huge black-manded Kalahari lions – one of Africa’s most iconic species and a real treat to see in the flesh.
