With 200 square metres of deck rising above the Namibian dunes, the Mountain View Suite provides ample living space. The Suite is located within walking distance from the Dunes Lodge however the Mountain View Suite is secluded, allowing guests to spend time in a homely and stylish atmosphere. Consisting of a spacious en-suite bedroom with a king-size bed, the Suite enables guests to enjoy the view of their private dune valley to the fullest. A shaded patio provides an ideal venue for meals and relaxed hours lazing in a hammock. Add to this a spacious lounge, bar cabinet and dining area and you have a wonderful home away from home.
In the event that guests wish to enjoy their meals ‘entre-nous’, an open-plan kitchenette supports the preparation of meals at the Suite. An east-facing veranda and sun-deck lead from the platform into the surrounding dunes. The main veranda has a star-gazing bed, which provides a wonderful sleep-out venue during summer. All meals at the Mountain View Suite are a lavish, but unpretentious affair. They always exude a sense of occasion with elegant table settings, candlelight and exuberant menu announcements in the local Nama language. They have a reputation for serving the best meals on Namibia’s safari circuit and are more than happy to indulge you with our innovative, wholesome and sophisticated bush cuisine, prepared lovingly with home grown organic fresh produce and paired with excellent local and South African wines.
Hidden away on Impalila Island at the eastern end of Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, close to the borders with Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as The Victoria Falls, Ichingo Chobe River Lodge is the perfect spot to end an adventure through the Caprivi, but the easy access also combines really well with a safari in Botswana and a visit to the Victoria Falls.
