Why we love it
Take a trip up the Kunene River to spot crocodiles hiding in the banks, and water birds and other animals lounging in the lush riverside.
Climb up the bright orange sands of the Namib's dunes for sprawling views over the desert – it is worth the hard work!
Explore this terrain in one of the most memorable ways, racing over sand dunes and along ridges whilst taking care to preserve the habitat.
See how many water and desert birds you can spot around camp, including benguela long-billed larks and Rüppell’s korhaan.
Learn about the isolated lifestyle of the semi-nomadic Himba people who live around the camp, sharing in their customs for an enriching experience.
Hop in a 4x4 or explore by foot all that the Namib desert has to offer, from incredible landscapes to famous fairy circles, as well as wildlife.

The journey to Namibia and Serra Cafema was the best trip I’ve ever done. I really loved the remote camp, the way we travelled there (flying over the endless dunes and amazing coastline in a private plane) and the infinite hospitality, knowledge and passion of the whole team. We enjoyed a lot of activities: we visited the Himba people, which was the experience of a lifetime, took a quad bike tour and boat tour. For my birthday, they organised a private dinner at a beautiful, remote location.
