Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel

Paris

Overlooking the iconic Place de la Concorde stands Hôtel de Crillon, a timeless embodiment of Parisian elegance and the epitome of French art de vivre. Built in 1758 by King Louis XV’s appointed architect, Ange-Jacques Gabriel, this historic landmark has witnessed centuries of history, from royal reigns to revolutions. Once a private mansion for the Counts of Crillon, it was transformed into a luxury palace hotel in 1909, retaining its grandeur and prestige.
Following a meticulous renovation in 2013, Hôtel de Crillon reopened with renewed splendour in line with its illustrious past. Led by renowned architect Richard Martinet and artistic director Aline Asmar d’Amman, the restoration blended contemporary flair with traditional opulence. Each of the 78 rooms, 36 suites, and 10 signature suites exudes Parisian residential charm, curated with bespoke furnishings and exquisite antiques.
The hotel’s gastronomic offerings are equally exquisite, presenting inventive French cuisine within its majestic setting. Meanwhile, Sense, A Rosewood Spa, provides a haven for wellness and relaxation, featuring indulgent treatments and state-of-the-art facilities such as a pool, steam room, and infrared sauna.
Hôtel de Crillon also embraces modernity in its approach to hospitality, exemplified by the collaboration with designer Hugo Matha to create a stylish garde-robe for its staff, ensuring impeccable service with a contemporary touch. This dedication to excellence and sophistication reaffirms Hôtel de Crillon’s status as one of the world’s most revered establishments, where history, luxury, and art converge seamlessly.
