Enjoy a safari in Zambia’s premier wildlife viewing destination – the South Luangwa National Park. Your five night stay at Chinzombo – the best camp in the park and arguably the whole of Zambia – will afford you a myriad of wildlife viewing opportunities from an opulent base on the bank of the Luangwa River. The terrain and varied habitats of the park make it a stronghold for lion, leopard and wild dog, as well as large herds of elephant and buffalo, giraffe, puku and over 450 bird species. With expert guides on hand to take you on game drives and walks, you can enjoy a wonderfully varied and active safari experience. From the South Luangwa fly back to Lusaka and connect on to Johannesburg in South Africa. The Intercontinental OR Tambo Hotel is adjacent to the terminal building and a very convenient spot for an overnight stay. Spend the evening relaxing after a busy safari and preparing for the adventure that awaits in Madagascar.

Day 6 - 11: Nosy Ankao, Madagascar

From Johannesburg fly to Nosy Be in the north-west of Madagascar where a helicopter will be waiting to whisk you across to Nosy Ankao on the north-east of the island. The helicopter flight is a highlight in itself, as you get to see the sheer scale of the “Island Continent” and marvel at the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Your private beachfront villa will be a haven of tranquillity where you can do as much or as little as you want during your stay. A huge array of watersports, hiking and biking trails, wildlife excursions and cultural interactions are available from the lodge.
