Why we love it
Hunda Island is known for its concentrations of game and offers both spectacular wildlife viewing on land, and tranquil adventures on the water.
The camp is surrounded by the crystal-clear Okavango waterways.
Sit in your open air vehicle to see incredible numbers of game roaming the Delta, including elephant, buffalo and hippo.
Head out into the darkness of the bush with specially adapted headlights to see nocturnal bush wildlife, such as a hunting lion.
Admire the striking waterbirds of the Delta, who have come to bathe and drink along the waterways, as you glide along in a canoe.
Travel further away from camp on a motorboat to spot crocodiles and hippos splashing around the Delta - maybe even an elusive situtanga!
Spend a night in the hideout in the bush, transformed into a star bed for endless nights of gazing at the southern hemisphere's constellations.
Put your angling skills to the test as you cast a line into the Delta's waterways, looking for the fighting African tigerfish.
Sit back and listen to the birdsong as you admire the number of birds around Tubu, with large concentrations of wattled crane.
The Pitchers
We had the most amazing time! John Barclay and his team were very special and the mobile safari exclusive and superb. Moremi was very quiet with few other tourists – no more than a dozen other vehicles seen in four days. Macatoo was also excellent with good riding and game. We were so grateful for the help that you offered when our BA flights went wrong. Many thanks again for the superb service and recommendations which made for a great holiday.
