Macatoo Camp is situated in a 500,000 acre private concession in the Delta. The Okavango is the largest inland delta in the world, a mix of labyrinth channels, palm fringed islands and fertile floodplains. Our stunning camp features eight large luxury en-suite safari tents on raised wooden platforms overlooking floodplains where elephant, zebra, buck and the birdlife can be seen by visitors from their private verandahs or even bed! Centrally there is a large well-appointed mess tent and tucked away, a private pool. Depending on the weather, longer safaris may include a rideeout to our mobile fly camp, with traditional bucket shower and toilet. The camp is open year-round.Macatoo features a new, tented ‘honeymoon suite’ complete with a bath on a raised platform and a larger private deck on which newlyweds and celebrating couples can enjoy a very special private dining experience. There is also a ‘family and friends suite’ consisting of two tents that are linked by a walkway and viewing deck above ground, to provide direct, easy access and peace of mind for parents.
