The island of South Georgia is more than 800 miles away from land, and it feels worlds away from modern life as we know it. This tiny crag of mountainous peaks is famously where Sir Ernest Shackleton’s heroic voyage ended when he died here aged 47 on 5th January 1922. As well as a poignant reminder of the perils of early 20th Century exploration, South Georgia is home to one of the largest colonies of king penguins in Antarctica and an abundance of albatross and seals. Sail on zodiacs to reach these islands from your ship, and you will see vast underwater kelp forests that sway beneath you in the clear water.
All of the trips we create for South Georgia are designed and tailored specifically for you. We create each trip from a blank piece of paper, building the holiday you had dreamed, using our experience, knowledge and contacts to design the ultimate experience.
