Guacimo Lodge

El Castillo

Guacimo Lodge is nestled within 50 hectares of primary and secondary forests in the shores of the San Juan River in the Indio Maiz Biological Reserve buffer zone. The lodge is designed with a commitment to sustainability, offering bungalows and deluxe cabañas. The cabins are perched over the forest and river and provide both comfort and direct contact with nature.

Each one of our superior bungalows features a king size bed, artisan stone, observatory deck, Granada vintage rocking chairs, a seating area and a private bathroom. Guests can expect to immerse themselves in the rich biodiversity of the region and enjoy the hotel facilities and organic food.

Reasons we love Guacimo Lodge

  • Guacimo Lodge offers dining by the river – a beautiful setting with freshly caught fish and locally sourced produce.
  • It feels like a place of true Nicaraguan craftsmanship with handmade hammocks, rocking chairs, ceramics and more decorating the property.
  • Conservation is at the heart of the lodge’s operation, running on 100% solar power.
