The adventure to reach Pacuare is all part of the wild experience. Board an inflatable boat and raft down the Pacuare River deep into the Talamanca Mountains. You will drift between canyons where waterfalls spill into the river and tackle foamy rapids. Arriving at the lodge, a jungle paradise awaits you. Twenty stylish suites built from sustainable wood have traditional thatched roofs and spacious decks shaded by the jungle canopy. We love the Canopy Villa with its spring-fed private pool and 360 views. The main guest pool is solar heated, where you can rest and listen to the sounds of the Pacuare River winding its steady path through the forest. Adventures include hiking to waterfalls, Indigenous trails, bird-watching and canyoning. All activities are guided by local experts, as they know these dense forests better than anyone. Bird-watchers won’t be disappointed, and the canopy zipline keeps guests of all ages entertained for hours. In the evening Pacuare glows with the soft light of thousands of candles as the night animals of rainforests serenade from the canopies.
Named after the nearby Tabacón River, which flows with natural hot springs heated by the Arenal Volcano, Tabacón is a paradise known for its geothermal features, mineral-rich waters, and lush tropical surroundings.
