After a local flight from Oslo to Aurland, you’ll be transferred to Aurland 292; a boutique hotel and farm. On arrival get a tour of the farm and an understanding of the local culture. Whilst in the area walk through the Aurlandsdalen Valley, the “Grand Canyon of the North”, before heading back to the hotel and warming up by the fire. After your flight from Aurland to Svolvær lufthavn, you will be transferred to your hotel Nyvågar Rorbuhotell located on the Lofoten Islands. Each room is right on the water and so on arrival marvel at the glorious archipelago whilst on a rowboat, provided by the hotel. The Lofoten Islands are located right below the auroral oval (a ‘footprint’ in the atmosphere where solar winds directly clash with the atmosphere’s field lines, creating the Northern Lights), therefore you will have extremely high chances of seeing the Aurora Borealis. As well as this you will have chances to go hiking, canoeing and wildlife watching during your time here.
