From rolling hills and sweeping meadows to bucolic villages and stately homes, the Cotswolds is Britain at its very best.

After exploring the capital, retreat to the beauty of the English countryside, a landscape that inspired many a famous writer including Shakespeare. On your journey down to The Fish Hotel in the Cotswolds, break up the drive by stretching your legs at Stonehenge or risking a run in with royalty at Windsor Castle. Once settled into this country bolt-hole, borrow a pair of wellies and head out into the rolling fields. During the day, visit Blenheim Palace, explore Daylesford’s organic farm shop or gander through a choice of stunning homes and gardens.

Day 6 - 9: Cornwall, England

  • Eat at Michelin-starred fish restaurants
  • Visit the famous Tate museum’s Cornish outpost

Famous for wild moors, fish and chips and endless stretches of coastline, Cornwall is without a doubt one of England’s most magical corners.

From the Cotswolds to Cornwall, enjoy three nights at the charming Hotel Tresanton, situated on the coast of the quaint port town of St Mawes. Perfectly located, the hotel is only a ten-minute walk from the action where you can try your hand at sea kayaking, crabbing and we can arrange a day’s sailing. Pull on your walking boots and take a stroll past one of Henry VIII’s castles, built in the 16th century to protect the English coastline. Let your driver-guide take you to Tintagel Castle, the seat of King Arthur or return to the sea with a local fisherman to catch your own fish supper.

Day 9 - 11: Dublin, Ireland

  • Try a Pint of Guinness fresh from the factory
  • Visit one of the oldest universities in the world, Trinity College

Capital of the Emerald Isle, Dublin might be the largest city in Ireland yet it feels like a village where all are welcome as family to the fold.

Take a morning flight to Dublin and drop your things at The Westbury before your guide for the next two days greets you. From here, head out on an afternoon walking tour for an introduction into the city and most likely, your first pint of Guinness. Venture to Temple Bar in the evening for a storytelling experience and Irish dance performance. Rise early the next day for a private visit to the Book of Kells and lunch with the Dean of St Patrick’s Cathedral. Your driver guide will accompany you from the thatched houses of Adare to the striking Cliffs of Moher. Weather dependant, hopping on the ferry to the Aran Islands is a must. Here, the traditional way of living and the smell of peat is Ireland at its absolute best. Finally, enjoy a falconry experience in the grounds of the hotel. Feeling gung-ho? Try your hand at some clay pigeon shooting – shoot straight!

  • Visit the local dolphin Fungie in Dingle
  • Cast a line and try a spot of salmon fishing

Made famous after a visit from Queen Victoria over 150 years ago, Kerry is known as much for its national parks as for its striking coastline.

From Limerick you’ll travel to Kerry for a night’s stay at Sheen Falls. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, Kerry offers nature lovers access to Ireland’s greatest outdoor playground. Hop in kayaks with a guide at Killarney National Park and visit Kenmare for a guided hike where you’ll stop in Muckross House and Gardens for a local history lesson. In season, cross your fingers and toes as you try and catch a shy salmon with an expert assistant. For those wishing to experience some sea fishing, we can also arrange a deep sea angling trip at Dingle Bay.

Day 14 - 16: County Laois, Ireland

  • Stay in one of Ireland’s most outstanding hotels
  • Meet horse racing jockeys at the Irish National Stud

Situated in the heart of Ireland, far from the sea, this is where the greenery of Ireland is most wonderful.

Head to County Laois where you’ll spend two nights at Ballyfin, a destination in itself before you consider its surrounding 600 acres. Everything about this hotel is award-winning, including its world-class restaurant. Once you’ve exhausted all Ballyfin has to offer – its gardens, lakes, follies and medieval ruins to name a few, your driver will take you around the area’s highlights. The Irish National Horse Stud is within easy reach and a must for those with any interest in horse racing. Drop by a local distillery for a spot of whisky tasting before relaxing by a warm fire.

  • Discover and understand Northern Ireland’s troubled past

The historic Province of Ulster is bursting with culture and unique scenery, most famously that of the Causeway Coast.

Set your compass north to Belfast for a brief stopover at The Merchant Hotel. With a historically troubled past, visiting important sites and communities is an eye opening means to understand the history, learning how it has affected Northern Ireland today. Our guides are exceptional in painting a picture of the positive strides that have been taken as the country re-builds. Away from the city, the iconic Giants Causeway can be seen by land, sea or sky. Pick the lobster pots with a local fisherman before seeing the alluring geological wonder from the privileged position of his boat.

Day 17 - 19: Edinburgh, Scotland

  • Climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat for spectacular views over the city
  • A round of golf at the celebrated St Andrews Links course

The cobbled streets of Edinburgh are lined with charming shops and Georgian terrace houses, making it a charming city to explore.

Fly to Edinburgh and travel to the magical setting of The Balmoral, the best place to rest your head in Scotland’s capital city. Enjoy wonderful views of the city from Arthur’s Seat, which rises high above it. We can arrange a visit to the majestic Edinburgh Castle with an expert guide. To better understand Scottish identity and culture, try a few experiences exclusive to Scotland such as a round of golf at St Andrews, a bagpipe lesson or eating haggis with your eggs at breakfast!

Day 19 - 21: Perthshire, Scotland

  • Indulge in Scottish afternoon tea
  • Jump in a traditional British Land Rover for a Highland safari
