A desert city, Jodhpur’s iconic blue buildings stand out like an oasis amongst Rajasthan’s rocky red landscapes.

Begin your holiday in Jodhpur where you’ll spend two nights at Raas Jodhpur, an oasis set in the heart of the old walled city. From within the walls, marvel at the spectacular views of 15th century Mehrangarh Fort, especially when it’s lit up in the evening. After sunrise yoga on the rooftop, make a day of exploring the fort, hopping on the Flying Fox Zipline for spectacular views over the Blue City, or visiting Rao Jodha Desert Park.

Day 3 - 6: Jawai Bandh, India

  • Enjoy wilderness drives to spot the area’s famous leopards, one of Jawai’s biggest draws
  • Take a stroll with one of the camp’s shepherds to experience life in their shoes

Travel to Rajasthan’s most romantic city, Udaipur, and arrive by boat to the Taj Lake Palace where you’ll spend two nights. This magical floating white-marble palace on Lake Pichola, featured in James Bond’s Octopussy boasts panoramic views of the surrounding Udaipur, especially from al fresco dining in the Lily Pond courtyard. Take a water-taxi to the city pier for a picturesque walking tour of Old Udaipur and wind your way through side streets awash with leather goods, jewels and spices.

Day 8 - 10: Mumbai, India

  • Take a private tour around Mumbai Film City to see the booming heart of the Bollywood industry

A city that juts out into the sea, Mumbai retains many elements of its colonial history as Bombay, making for fascinating exploration.

Take a flight south to Mumbai and stay in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, an iconic hotel with old-fashioned opulence set on the city’s waterfront with spectacular views over the Arabian Sea. With the finest location in southern Mumbai, you’re within a stone’s throw of the Gateway of India and the sprawling capital. On a private guided tour, begin with a morning visit Crawford and Sassoon markets, before exploring trendy boutiques, antique shops, exceptional restaurants, galleries, and museums.

Day 10 - 15: Laamu Atoll, Maldives
