A vast sprawling city providing constant stimulation, Delhi is steeped in history but simultaneously overflows with modernity.
Begin your adventure in India where you’ll spend two nights at The Imperial, buzzing with atmosphere and old-fashioned charm. Located in the colonial heart of New Delhi, it’s the perfect base for sightseeing. Spend a full day exploring New and Old Delhi, stopping at local attractions such as Chandni Chowk market, Jama Masjid mosque, and Humayun’s tomb. Discover the sights and smells of Chawri Bazaar on a street food tour before having a colling G&T in the 1991 old wood-paneled gin bar.
The Taj Mahal is truly a wonder of the world, for us it’s a must-see on any India itinerary.
Travel south to Agra where you’ll spend one night at the Oberoi Amarvilas. The only hotel with unobstructed vistas of the Taj Mahal, we will request a room with a balcony for optimal views and from your bed watch the enchanting son et lumière as the sun sets over the Taj. At sunrise, explore the world’s most exquisite testimony to undying love with the place to yourself (almost). The staff will purchase your entry tickets, book you a hand-picked guide and drive you to the gates of the ivory-white marble mausoleum in a golf buggy.
Stay in a wildlife reserve which used to be a former royal hunting ground, that tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles now call home.
Continue south to Ranthambore National Park where you’ll spend three nights at the legendary Aman-I-Khas resort. Twice-daily jeep safaris promise great tiger sightings amongst a plethora of leopards, jackals, monkeys, and sambar deer – spot Arrow Head, a young tigress who’s recently given birth to two young cubs. Head back to camp for a candle-lit, pool-side dinner before reminiscing your safari stories around the glowing fire pit under the enchanting starlit sky. With over 300 bird species, bird lovers can go trekking along the Banas riverbed. Upgrade and you will find yourself spotting leopards and exotic birds from the height of a hot air balloon.
The Pink City earned its name from the pink terracotta colour that its buildings have been adorned with and Jaipur is brimming with a rich royal heritage.
Arrive in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, and spend two nights in the magnificent Taj Rambagh Palace. Once the private residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the moment you step through the gates you’ll be treated like royalty; revel at the expansive Mughal gardens, the rolling Aravali hills and dine at Suvarna Mahal for a dazzling palatial experience. Famous for markets and trading, head into the bustling Pink City on a walking tour and witness the thriving artisans, cuisine and crafts of old Japiur, opulent architecture and glorious bazaars.
India’s capital and an Asian financial hub ensure Mumbai remains a modern city, with new experiences and restaurants constantly popping up.
End your holiday with a flight to Mumbai where you’ll spend two nights at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, one of the world’s most iconic hotels on the waterfront of Mumbai, overlooking the Arabian Sea and a stone’s throw from the Gateway of India. This is an incredibly atmospheric and fun city to explore; visit Crawford Market & Sassoon Market in the morning and explore the art galleries, museums, colonial architecture, and antiques of Old Bombay by walking tour. Nearby the train station you’ll spot locals playing cricket – join in for a thrilling match, full of passion for the game.
