Day 1 - 4: Selous National Park, Tanzania

  • Spot flocks of white pelicans and wallowing herds of elephants on a boat safari up the Rufiji River to the Steigler’s Gorge

Spend four nights exploring the Selous National Park, spotting incredible wildlife and relaxing in a rustic riverside safari lodge.

Begin your honeymoon in the remote and secluded Sand Rivers Selous. Perched on the banks of the wildest part of the Rufiji River, wake to the sounds of roaring hippos and with expansive views before you. From the camp’s location in the Selous National Park, you can choose from game drives to spot leopard and painted dog packs, a wild walking safari to spot eagles, or a boating safari up to the Steigler’s Gorge. You can stop off for a spot of breakfast on a sandbank and enjoy views of the secluded flood plains around you. Try your hand at barefoot tiger fishing in the shallows or swim in a spring rock pool under the shade of some palms. For one evening, try fly camping in the wild, where you can enjoy sundowners by a crackling fire before sleeping under a starry night sky to the sounds of the African Bush.

Day 4 - 9: Pemba Island, Zanzibar
