Decorated in classic Safari style with large beds and opulent rugs, the six lavish Meru styled tents are deeply romantic. There are five individual tents and one family unit, each with its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a bucket shower flowing with warm water in a generous spray, and flushing loos. There are forty odd staff at the guest’s beck and call, starting their day by serving you early morning tea in the comfort of your bed; organising your laundry and arranging menus with the chefs. Safari guides organise picnic breakfasts, lunches and sundowners with whatever drinks you require. Your tent staff will also take any shoes that require cleaning in the evening returning them to you with your morning tea.All meals are communal and evening dining is always around a large oval table in the mess tent, preceded by drinks and nibbles around the campfire under the starry African sky.The camp can be reserved exclusively giving you ultimate privacy but with the use of your own private vehicle, guide and spotter, other campers will seem few and far between. This also offers you excellent flexibility according to what exactly you want to do during your time at the Serengeti North Camp. There is also the fantastic opportunity to combine walking with 3-4 nights flycamping for a real taste of the Northern Serengeti.
Fanjove Private Island has only six suites (or bandas, as they are called) generously spaced out along the beach and is sure to redefine your idea of paradise.
