Alex Walker’s Serengeti Mobile Camp aims to give guests the bush experience of their life in a relaxed and friendly camp holding a luxurious edge. It is a mobile-tented function, which moves situation to one of two locations in or around the Serengeti depending on the time of year. From December to April, it is situated in Kusini in the Southern Serengeti. From July to mid-November it is situated in the stunning Lamai Wedge in Northern Serengeti, a few hundred metres from the Mara River where the renowned wildebeest river crossing takes place. Serengeti Mobile camp has only six traditional safari tents with safari showers and flush toilets, five individual tents and one family tent. The camp is perfect for serious photographers with exclusive use of vehicle and private guides. In Kusini, the camp is located in a fabulous predator area which is very quiet and enjoys lots of cheetah especially. Birthing season of 400,000 odd calves drop over a short period of January and February. In Lamai, the focus is on the crossings, but away from the river. There is fantastic viewing to be had, and it is not unheard of to see the big five in one day here.
Fanjove Private Island has only six suites (or bandas, as they are called) generously spaced out along the beach and is sure to redefine your idea of paradise.
The ultimate in luxury authentic mobile tented camps, situated within the vast Singita Grumeti Reserve
