This stylish and seductive camp is made up of eight tented suites and offers a more contemporary safari experience, while still in keeping with the surrounding nature. As it is the only camps for miles around, Namiri Plains offers more exclusivity and privacy, making it an ideal choice for honeymooners. There is also a family tent available, perfectly equipped to accommodate a family of four.
In each guest tent, you can expect king size beds, crisp sheets and both indoor and outdoor showers. The communal mess tent is the ideal place to unwind and take in the wilderness around you. In the evenings, guests can enjoy a sumptuous three course dinner, before swapping stories around the fire place, nightcap in hand. Namiri Plains is best suited for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy a more luxurious safari experience, while still enjoying the authentic East African tented camp style.
The location is prime for big cats and is one of the very best spots in the region for seeing cheetah, particularly from November to June when the big herds of wildebeest arrive, bringing endless hunting opportunities for the cats. Game drives are the main focus at Namiri Plains, but walking safaris, hot air balloon safaris and a meeting with a local cheetah researcher can also be arranged.
