Why we love it
The Victoria Falls Hotel, popularly known as ‘The Grand Old Lady of the Falls’, is situated in the Victoria Falls Town. It is one of Africas most famous hotels due to its long and proud history.
An old and well established 5 Star hotel that has provided many a weary adventurer with a charming haven to rest at and explore the famous Victoria Falls. The quality of service, food, drink and decor is something to behold. Visitors have the choice between a vast variety of different restaurants including the opulent Livingstone Room. People come far and wide to have tea at this famous watering hole.
The rooms vary hugely and each room has its own characteristic and class. Nothing is too fancy or shiny but you feel as if you are part of something magical and historical. Depending on where you want to be you can choose a room that has views of the falls or a room that is set back within the property. All rooms have a feeling of old grandeur and colonial splendour.
Victoria Falls Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the Victoria Falls itself, making this hotel one of the most popular options in Victoria Falls town.

We were bundled into a vehicle and dashed off to see a leopard within the first 30 minutes of arriving; it was an AWESOME start. Our guide completely made the entire experience. He was an exceptional birder and his best party trick was to point out the bird and then tell us the exact page we could find it in our book. We combined Zimbabwe with Mozambique, and our beach hotel felt like a complete hidden gem. The sand is like ‘moon dust’ and the hospitality and food were fantastic.
