Stay at Turtle Inn

Another gem in the Ford Coppola treasure chest, Turtle Inn achieves a near-perfect balance of elegance and barefoot beach living. The 28-bedroom lodge is at the tip of a 26-mile Caribbean beach. We love the seafront cottages with a large deck facing the ocean, private garden and outdoor shower. The cottages have thatched roofs to cool the temperature naturally, aided by the gentle sea breeze. All this cools the rooms night and day – guests worried about the lack of A/C needn’t be concerned.

There are complimentary bikes to get out and explore the fishing village of Placencia with its excellent local fish restaurants and owner-run boutiques. We highly recommend getting out on the water for some of the world’s best snorkelling and scuba diving. Combine Turtle Inn with Blancaneaux Lodge, and you have a perfect luxury holiday in Belize.

Troll the reef and spin-cast for the likes of Barracuda, snapper and more, or try salt water fly fishing for bonefish, tarpon, permit and snook.

Birding

Join the on-site ornithologist Melvin on a guided bird watching experience. You will be rewarded with excellent sightings of a large variety of beautiful birds.

Paddle Boarding

The often calm waters provide ideal conditions for beginners to try standing. Seasoned paddlers can venture farther afield to a Mangrove Island, or try to spot Manatees in the Lagoon.
