Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires

We usually recommend that first-time visitors to Buenos Aires stay in the central Recoleta District. This is the most stylish neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, with grand buildings, leafy parks and classic architecture that gave the city its name, the ‘Paris of South America. ’ The famous Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron was buried is worth visiting, or sit outside in one of the many coffee shops and watch the world go by. One of our favourite hotels in Recoleta is the Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau. Exquisitely converted from a former palace, the grandeur and beautiful architecture reflect the history and opulence of this aristocratic home. The hotel is moments from the city’s finest shops, restaurants and galleries that generate the buzz of this fashionable district. Facilities include an indoor pool, spa and one of the best wine-tasting rooms in the city. We usually recommend staying in the old section of the building (the hotel has a contemporary extension, which is equally stylish).

Reasons we love Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

  • Beautifully restored former family mansion with a terraced garden and indoor swimming pool
  • Excellent location in the heart of the most stylish neighbourhood in Buenos Aires
  • One of the best wine-tasting experiences in town
