When considering a holiday to Oman, it is easy to forget about the Musandam Peninsula, located on the Northern tip of Oman (and in fact reached from Dubai rather than Muscat). However, the remote exclave of Musandam features some of the most dramatic scenery in Arabia and as a result, has attracted one of Oman’s top hotels, owned by the well-regarded Six Senses brand.

A visit here and it isn’t hard to see why this is a top pick of our specialists. The area is best known for its soaring mountains, stunning fjords and small fishing villages. The beaches are secluded and the diving is world-class – and all of this within relatively easy reach from the UK!
