Day 1 - 3: Chamarel, Mauritius

Situated on the west coast, the village of Chamarel is part of the Rivière Noire District and home to an abundance of nature and scenic locations.

Begin your Mauritian adventure with two nights at Lakaz Chamarel, a charming boutique hotel perched up in the hills and set within twelve acres of hibiscus and frangipani-soaked gardens and mango trees. Unwind in this tranquil inland eco-lodge with activities such as yoga and swimming, with the white sands of Le Morne within easy reach. For those wishing to explore the island, we can arrange day trips to the natural wonders of Chamarel such as the spectacular Seven Coloured Earth and the waterfalls. Day 3 - 10: Chemin Grenier, Mauritius

The island’s south coast features some of the most untamed and beautiful scenery, dotted with fishing villages, sheltered coves, basalt cliffs, sugar cane fields and forests.

Travel south to Chemin Grenier, where you’ll spend seven nights at Shanti Maurice, an authentic boutique hotel located on an unspoilt coastline where tropical gardens meet a peaceful cove. Relax in luxury – many of the rooms with private pools – and enjoy the golden sands of the private beaches. Perfect for foodies, the hotel can make a reservation at La Kaze Mama Restaurant in the kitchen garden where you’ll indulge in an authentic Mauritian curry. From here, a variety of day trips can be arranged such as hiking to Black River Gorge National Park, climbing Le Morne Brabant and cycling to the vortex.
