Day 1-4
LONDON, England
With layers of history, tradition and iconic architecture, London is an endless treasure trove of experiences.
Begin your trip with three nights at Brown’s Hotel in London, the capital’s oldest hotel and the perfect platform to visit the city’s highlights. Let your guide walk you through the traditions behind the Changing of the Guard, and a food expert take you around Borough Market’s best local treats. For those feeling parched, we can also arrange a beer expert for a London brewery tour or an afternoon tea experience. Escape the hustle and bustle to spend a day exploring the university cities of Oxford and Cambridge with a driver-guide. We know the best pubs for a traditional British experience by a roaring fire.
Day 4-7
EDINBURGH, Scotland
Edinburgh offers everything we love about Scotland – the land of the brave, tartan and deep-fried haggis.
Continue to Edinburgh, where you’ll spend three nights at the Balmoral Hotel. The country’s beating heart is best explored by foot thanks to its village feel. Here, we can arrange the best guide according to your particular interest or desires. Whilst in the city, sample the flavours of Scotland with a whisky specialist or simply follow our recommendations on the best spot for haggis. If you wish to venture out into the surroundings, we can arrange a day trip into the highlands with a driver-guide; visit Scottish staples such as Stirling Castle, Linlithgow Palace or Loch Katrine.
Day 7-10
PERTHSHIRE, Scotland
A short jaunt from the Scottish capital, but a world away from the city lights, escape into the Highlands for glens and greenery.
Finish your trip in Perthshire with three nights at Gleneagles, one of Scotland’s most iconic hotels. Embrace the true Scottish culture and highland pursuits, with various activities on offer; try your hand at ferret racing, falconry or create your own tartan. Alternatively, check off some Scottish bucket list specials with a day salmon fishing on the Spey or a round of golf at St Andrews. Back in the grounds, we can arrange a spot of clay pigeon shooting in the hotel’s 840 acres, or buggy racing around a specially created track.
The Ashtons
We enjoyed a fabulous family adventure in the Western Isles of Scotland, filled with salmon fishing, whisky tasting and jumping through the dunes. Islay was the perfect escape, and the kids loved exploring the rockpools.
