Anyone in search of a remote jungle adventure in the Amazon will not be disappointed by Sacha Lodge. The observation tower suspended 94 feet above ground is almost reason alone to come here. From the treetops, you will discover an arboreal world few of us humans get to encounter – watch troops of monkeys moving effortlessly from branch to branch and a host of birdlife feasting on fruit and insects. There is also a canopy walkway through the treetops to access life in the trees at another level. Whilst the lodge blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings, it does not forgo the comfort of its guests. The cabins have high thatched roofs and shady terraces where you can lie back in your hammock and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. The open-air Balsa terrace looks over Pilchicocha Lake, where an array of birdlife, caiman and giant otters come to bask and feed. At meal times, the restaurant serves fresh, organic meals inspired by the rich nutrients of the forest.
