Example Itinerary

Days 1 – 2

Santiago de Chile

  • Explore the architecture and markets of Santiago
  • Afternoon to relax at the spa or rooftop terrace of the hotel

Begin your stay in Santiago with a journey through the history, architecture, and food scene of Santiago. Traverse the historical city centre and get to know the best that Santiago has to offer.

You will stay at The Singular in the centre of town. The interiors are simple and contemporary with muted colours and soft lighting. In the evening, the rooftop bar is a fantastic place to enjoy a sundowner and the spa provides an extensive menu of wellness therapies.

Start off at the historic “La Vega Central” market, where colourful salespeople converge with buyers, a place full of restaurants and local flavour. In recent years immigrants from all over Latin America have added their particular foods and spices to this bustling market, making for an even warmer and cheerier atmosphere.

Cross the Central Market and continue on to the picturesque Plaza de Armas town square. Visit the pre-Columbian Art Museum, the Plaza de la Constitución, and the La Moneda Government Palace. Head up San Cristobal Hill where you’ll be awarded a lovely view of the city, with the majestic Andes mountains serving as a backdrop.

Days 3 – 6

The Lake District

  • Discover the beauty of the Lake District on foot, 4×4, horseback or mountain biking.
  • Enjoy a full day in the Cochagua Valley visiting vineyards

The northern tip of Chile’s lake district is dramatically beautiful. With indigo lakes carved out by ancient glaciers

Fly from Santiago to Temuco where a car will be waiting to take you to Vira Vira,  a 34-acre estate managed by the luxury andBeyond hotel group. The setting is beautiful with volcanoes and mountains hugging the indigo water of glacial lakes and ancient forests of evergreen Araucaria araucana (monkey puzzle) trees (some over 1 000 years old).  This region is both the gateway to Patagonia, and a thrilling adventure haven.

Enormous windows in almost every room of the lodge frame the exquisite views and vibrant wall tapestries add splashes of colour to the cosy wooden interiors. Signature features include a working farm, organic farm-to-table vegetable garden, on-site boutique cheese factory and two outdoor hot tubs. Outdoor adventures in the summer include fly fishing, river rafting and hiking in the national park.

Days 7 – 10

The Colchagua Valley

  • Wine tasting at some of Chile’s best vineyards
  • Explore mountain paths on foot, horseback or bike

Vik Chile is not only an award-winning vineyard, it is also an architectural work of art. The floating, structural roof of titanium and bronze shines in its spectacular mountainous setting with 360 degree views of the valley. Immersed in a 4,450-hectare nature reserve, this retreat is a haven of tranquility and the perfect base for an isolated escape away from the crowds.

The Colchagua valley is the heart of the Chilean wine district. Discover boutique vineyards using age-old traditions to cultivate fine wine. We will arrange for a car and guide to take you to the internationally recognised Montes Winery, where you can stroll down the beautiful vineyards with a stunning panoramic view of the Apalta Valley before you. Relax and sample some of their best high-end wines. Lastly, stop and enjoy a three-course meal at one of our favourite restaurants nearby.

This was the best travel company we have every worked with. Every single detail was organised,
Well thought out. I didn’t have to worry about any transfers, lines, yours, or tickets. They had everything arranged for me and organised on an app. Molly was the best. I highly recommend them especially traveling with three kids across Europe you want to have everything arranged in advance. They even found kid friendly tours which my kids loved! Their itinerary was so detailed and organised it made the traveling easy and so enjoyable.
