Northern Argentina is a perfect destination for holidays that combine culture with wildlife and contrasting landscapes. The parched deserts in Salta, fertile wetlands in Corrientes and Atlantic rainforest in Iguazu make an excellent trio in one trip or individually. Best visited between April and late August Northern Argentina is a fantastic option for a family summer holiday or a thrilling road trip for two.
Travel north to the border with Brazil, and you will discover the mighty Iguazu River as it plunges over 40 metres into the rainforest below. The Iguazu Waterfall is considered one of the highlights of South America. In the surrounding Atlantic rainforests, enigmatic ruins of Jesuit missions hide beneath the canopy, and lazy rivers drift slow and steady towards the Atlantic Ocean.

I couldn’t have asked for a better travel agent (Molly Kinnaird) or a more absolutely perfect honeymoon! Molly helped bring my honeymoon vision to life and help me pinpoint the most incredible hotels that perfectly reflected our interests, needs and styles. The process from start to finish was so quick and straightforward and it was so nice to have all the transfers and ferry’s and hotel bookings all organised for us. All the hotels were each so special and unique. Molly also recommended and booked all of our restaurants so we didn’t even need to worry about doing that. I would 100% book via True Travel again and I’m already thinking of my next trip!
