La Villa is a haven for peace and tranquility, rich in art deco and antiques. Originally built in French colonial period, La Villa has had an interesting existence. It was originally a family house then a base for the general quarters for the Vietnamese army during the Khmer Rouge period. More recently the house has been converted into a boutique hotel. It’s a cheerful base for exploring Battambang on the banks of the river Sangker.
