8 days
Days 1-2
Santiago
You will stay at The Singular in the centre of town. The interiors are simple and contemporary with muted colours and soft lighting. In the evening, the rooftop bar is a fantastic place to enjoy a sundowner and the spa provides an extensive menu of wellness therapies.
Days 3-4
Puerto Natales
Spend two nights exploring in the footsteps of pioneers. Visit some of the first rural settlements and farms in the region.
The Singular Patagonia preserves the century-old cold storage factory, the Frigorífico Bories which was declared a National Heritage site in 1996. Located on the shores of the Senoret channel in Puerto Natales, this luxury boutique hotel is a fantastic starting point for any adventure into Patagonia.
You will have a full day to pick from any one of the excellent excursions on offer accompanied by expert guides. Day trips include hiking trails, history tours, mountain biking and kayak or boat rides. Nearby attractions include visits to working farms, the Milodon Caves, hiking to mountain lakes and the local town of Puerto Natales.
Days 5-8
Torres del Paine National Park
Emerging beside craggy mountains and the glistening Lake Sarmiento in Torres del Paine National Park, the Tierra Patagonia hotel weaves itself into the landscape with impressive and thoughtful architecture.
This wild and untamed part of the world is the perfect location for an active luxury holiday in Chile. The spa has an indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Paine Massif, and the restaurant serves locally inspired dishes.
There are endless excursions to choose from, and the team at Tierra Patagonia will personalise your experience by getting to know you and suggesting adventures that will meet your expectations. Activities include treks to nearby waterfalls and azure lakes, wildlife trails and, for the hardy hikers, the famous Macizo Paine hike, which requires endurance but rewards the effort with impressive views of the three granite towers of Torres del Paine.
At the end of your stay in Patagonia, you will fly back to Santiago or continue your journey to other parts of the country. Those keen to continue the adventure over the border into Argentine Patagonia can be driven over the Andes or take a 2-night boat trip navigating the fjords.
