Nxai Pan is one of Makgadikgadi’s natural salt pans to the northern border of the national park. The Migration Expeditions camp is a relaxed intimate camp with just 6 luxury canvas tents, the lack of more permanent structures means that you truly feel at one with nature. Although this may not feel as luxurious as some of the permanent camps, the tents are still safe and comfortable. The National Park is also where one of the largest zebra migration occurs so large herds are increasingly visible throughout the day. This zebra activity brings predators to the area too, so the wildlife here is really incredible. More activities include visiting the famous Baines’ Baobabs (a group of upside-down trees situated at the end of Kudikam Pan) that were painted by Thomas Baines 150 years ago. There are also fantastic birding opportunities.
