Why we love it

The resort prides itself in its friendly, welcoming environment whilst offering exceptional customer service to its guests. Your assigned fundi will be at hand throughout your stay assisting you with any of your requirements, no matter how big or small.
The Manta resort has 17 en-suite bedrooms with 6 sea front villas, 7 garden rooms, 4 superior garden rooms and the renowned underwater room.
Sea front villas
The 6 newly built, sea front villas are spacious, private and are air conditioned. There is a king size bed and large en-suite bathroom and a sunset facing secluded sun terrace.
Superior Garden rooms
The 4 Superior Garden Rooms have sea views between the
foliage. One pair of rooms has an interconnecting door which is ideal for families with children and larger groups. The superior garden rooms are all air conditioned with a king size, four poster bed and a private makuti thatch covered terrace.
Garden rooms
The 7 newly built garden rooms are open plan rooms located in the beautiful gardens. They all feature king size beds covered by mosquito nets, en-suite open plan bathroom, and a comfortable veranda to relax on. Please be aware, these rooms are not air-conditioned.
The Underwater room
The first underwater room in Africa where shoals of reef fish can be seen swimming by. This is an ideal destination for a honeymoon.
Take your pick of nine main dive sites in Pemba and scuba in the crystal clear waters, exploring the untouched coral reefs surrounding the whole island.
A ranger will guide you on a 45 minute tour through the rainforest to spot vervet and black colobus monkeys, as well as Pemba sunbirds and scops owl.
At low tide the sandbank protrudes its white coral sand to make it possible for you to relax and swim in its secluded azure waters.
Leave the beach on the traditional sailing and fishing vessel with a local captain, to watch the African sunset as you cruise along the shoreline.
Unwind with a Swahili head massage, a pampering facial or an aromatherapy massage, to feel rejuvenated on your holiday.
Captain Bob will take you out to the North Pemba Channel where you can catch striped marlin, wahoo, dorado and yellowfish tuna.
Paddle to the Njao Gap, where you can explore thick mangrove forests filled with exotic bird and marine life, before a picnic lunch on a secluded beach.

Mark & Susan
True Travel planned our honeymoon to Uganda, Rwanda and Zanzibar. The insight of the team at TLT helped us choose locations and lodges which otherwise we’d never have known about – they also saved us over £1,000 by recommending cost saving flights and other logistics. I have already recommended their service to friends and will continue to do so.
