A hop skip and a 40-minute ferry from Mykonos and you will reach the island of Paros. Whilst on the island, you will have the opportunity to experience the island with a private guide, explore Paros away from the ocean. The real soul of Paros lies inland, between the medieval villages of Marpissa, Prodromos and Lefkes. Poised on a pine-studded hilltop, Lefkes is the ultimate Cycladic cliché, in the best possible sense!
On your final afternoon on Paros, we have chartered you a traditional fishing boat for a sunset ride, fish and feast on board. The boat is skippered by a local fisherman who will show you how to cast nets and cook your catch on board. Whilst on the water, of course, there will be plenty of opportunity for snorkelling and swimming.
Unmissable for watersport enthusiasts, on Paros’ south-east coast, Golden beach and its neighbour New Golden beach offer ideal conditions for competitive windsurfers, undeterred by an offshore swell. Or for those looking to stretch their legs out of the water, hiking the Byzantine road from Lefkes is a must, the route is a 1,000-year-old footpath paved with weathered Parian marble.
