Casa del Presidente
Barichara, Colombia
Why we love it
Casa del Presidente is a hidden gem in the Andean town of Barichara. We have researched the best of Colombia, and we believe this five-bedroom former family home is something special. Casa del Presidente was the residence of President Belisario Betancourt and the house is bursting with character and history. This private house has five en-suite bedrooms, a dining room for up to ten people and an outdoor terrace and swimming pool. A small office workspace was once the President’s private office. This is the perfect place to hire as a private villa with family or friends.
The town of Barichara was founded in 1705, and much of its original Colonial architecture is preserved.
