Chikwenya Camp is situated on the eastern boundary of Mana Pools National Park. The Camp looks over the floodplain and borders the Zambizi River making this a photographer’s paradise with an idyllic backdrop of Rift Valley mountainous escarpment. Surrounding the camp is a dense forest of Albida and Natal mahogany trees which provide a deep shade during the peak of the African heat, the Albida trees shed their protein-rich podssduring the dry season which attract a variety of species providing them with sustenance.The seven tents that make up the Chikwenya Camp are situated on low wooden decks with wooden walkways linking them to the camps main areas. Each section of the decking is positioned to optimize the camps prime location and give guests the ideal position to enjoy the passing wildlife.
The spacious luxury safari tents of Victoria Falls River Lodge are nestled on the banks of the mighty Zambezi, with an open plan design that has been positioned just back from the river – in view of the elephants’ natural evening route.
