The Tswalu Kalahari Reserve is the largest private game reserve in South Africa, covering 111,000 hectares of the wild but beautiful Kalahari Desert in the north of the country. With a maximum of 28 guests visiting at any one time, those who do make the journey up here will be assured of a truly incredible personalised and private safari experience in a truly remarkable landscape.

Despite being a desert area, the reserve supports a huge array of wildlife, including black rhino, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, black-maned Kalahari lion, the ever-endearing meerkat as well as the incredibly rare pangolin. With game drives, guided walks and even horseback safaris available, Tswalu offers arguably the most varied wildlife experience in South Africa.

Absolutely amazing holiday. Garonga is heaven! We did everything possible and our guide was brilliant and hilarious.
