Before the tasting, you will discuss your particular interests with Jancis and your tasting will be entirely tailored to your preferences. It could be a session in which you learn the art of wine tasting from scratch, it could be a tasting themed around a particular region, grape or wine style of your choice, or perhaps an introduction to some of the wines Jancis thinks are of particular interest or value at the moment. After this discussion, she will suggest which wines to lay in for the tasting, and where to source them. Or perhaps you would like to taste some wines from your own collection with her – the choice is yours.
You will need to provide suitable wine glasses and a healthy curiosity. No wine knowledge is necessary although Jancis, who has been writing a column for the Financial Times for 30 years, would be happy to taste and discuss the finest wines and mature vintages if you would prefer.
Price: £3,300 + wines for a group of any size.
