Seaventure

Antarctica Cruises

Seaventure is an 82-cabin vessel and a fantastic option for a small ship experience with a good dose of adventure. She features a 1-A Super ice-class rating (the highest category available), meaning that she can explore coves, bays and channels that would previously have been off-limits. Each cabin includes a seating area, TV and complimentary minibar. With a sauna, fitness centre, library, science lab and heated pool, there is plenty of creature comfort on board. When you are out exploring the white desert with the ship’s world-class crew the Seaventure is fully equipped with kayaks and zodiacs to navigate the water. Sea kayaking, snowshoeing and camping adventures are available on selected journeys. We love the Veranda Suites with a private balcony and large windows that take in the Antarctic scenery. The food on board is excellent with balanced and nutritional cuisine and a menu that is changed daily so it never feels monotonous. The spacious dining room has panoramic windows – perfect for impromptu wildlife spotting. Polar Latitudes are pioneers of the citizen science programme, working directly with international research facilities such as NASA and the Scripps Institute. Guests are encouraged to get involved, collecting seawater samples and tracking whales. On-board lectures and presentations cover oceanography, glaciology, ornithology, marine biology, meteorology and much more. Excursions are taken once or twice daily in motorised zodiacs to reach land.

Reasons we love Seaventure
