Roaming the beach, paddling in the shallows and clambering over rocks, this is a day of adventure. Joining the author of four foraging books and a regular with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on River Cottage, you’ll be in expert hands as you head out to identify and gather the tasty treats that line the UK shores on a private foraging expedition.
A day beside the seaside will never be the same again once you have learned the many edible species that can be found here. Seashore plants such as sea beet, sea rocket, sea purslane, marsh samphire, half a dozen seaweeds, and shellfish such as cockles, winkles and razor clams can all be found, depending on which beach is explored. Your foray will finish with a open fire cook-up on the beach.
